Celestron C100 EDR
The C100 EDR Refractor comes on a heavy-duty German Equatorial mount with ultra-sturdy 2" stainless steel legs and center tray for superior rigidity and vibration dampening. The new German Equatorial mount has precision worm gears on both axes for extremely smooth performance. The key element that makes this system the most stable in its class is the NEW heavy-duty tripod with larger and more substantial legs that offer excellent damping characteristics for more stable views. The CG-5 also has a convenient latitude scale for easier alignment and an optional polar finder scope for the ultimate in precision alignments.
The C100 EDR is packed with great features and
excellent optics. The refractor style 100ED (APO) features a 2" rack and
pinion focuser and has a bracket that can adapt to a photo tripod. ED glass
provides excellent colour correction and razor sharp images and virtually
eliminates chromatic aberration usually seen during planetary and lunar
viewing. This telescope comes complete with a 20mm 1.25" eyepiece, erect
image diagonal and 6x30 finder-scope.
