Auto Star makes finding the sky’s elusive jewels virtually as easy as pushing
a few buttons. Observe land or over 1400 sky objects in stunning high
resolution, and learn about the sky with Meade’s extensive astro-library.

the Meade ETX for its observatory-quality Maksutov Cassegrain optical
system. Its diffraction-limited optics are so crisp in contrast, brightness
and image resolution that they consistently out-perform telescopes of larger
aperture. All ETX telescopes features BK-7 glass and oversized Pyrex®
primary mirrors. The entire optical system is manufactured at Meade's
state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Irvine, California.

Meade UHTC™ is a series of exotic optical coatings precisely tuned to optimize the visual, photographic and CCD imaging performance of your ETX telescope. Image brightness is increased by nearly 15% over standard Meade coatings. Objects such as stars, galaxies and nebulae as observed through your ETX will be dramatically brighter. Even observations of the Moon and planets will benefit in increased image brightness from the full spectrum of light transmission.
